Nanny State?

 "The blocks do not solve anything, we are learning from their first cycle (in the spring)" - reiterated the Governor of Michigan, G. Whitmer. Washington's colleague Jay Inslee had just admitted that, despite the restrictions, the virus had returned.

It seems that the CoV will remain in successive waves until its exhaustion or when an effective vaccine has been taken by a sufficient multitude of people or we have touched herd immunity.

It is acceptable to encourage those who can, by income or by type of occupation, to stay at home; but it is tragically wrong to force companies to close. It will have devastating economic consequences, including the family means to buy medicine. Unless the worst fantasies, such as that of an attempt to build a world society governed and fed by a group of oligarchs for a universal neo-communism, are plausible.

Mass unemployment will arrive in the 2 States mentioned. People, like frightened animals, however, continue to remain, electing them where it is still possible, with those politicians who impose  lockdown and put citizens' initiative and reactivity to sleep through assistance measures, the cost of which will sooner or later be charged to  them.

The blue wave of the US presidential vote has just confirmed this.

The fault is collective. The State of Washington eased the restrictions in September and consequently tax revenues increased, thanks to the temporary recovery of the market, allowing to reduce by half the public deficit caused by the pandemic; however, it will all go up in smoke if the shutdowns are restored. In the same month, the Michigan budget maneuver cut expenses and provided for federal aid, which will be revised for the worse with a new lockdown.

Also because the promises to restore normalcy in December are already being trampled, as happened the previous time: endless blocks, record unemployment, online schools etc.

In Michigan, the Supreme Court has condemned the closures, which the Governor bypasses through the 'Department of Health and Personal Services'.

Voters in rural areas, much less infected, fear more unemployment, poverty, loneliness, boredom, depression. The companies that work there, however, must stop, under the heavy public sanctions. To die slowly with the urban electorate in the arms of a nanny state?

Yet it would be enough to apply prevention rules for the 'vulnerable' and leave daily and free life to the others ..

Nanny State? The spirit of our millenary history of competitive, conflicting, proactive, that is, free, especially Western societies will prevent it.

Nanny State?

"I blocchi non risolvono nulla, lo stiamo imparando dal loro primo ciclo (in primavera)"- ha ribadito il governatore del Michigan, G.Whitmer. Il collega di Washington, Jay Inslee, aveva appena ammesso che, nonostante le restrizioni, il virus era tornato.

Sembra proprio che il CoV resterà  a ondate successive fino a suo esaurimento oppure quando un vaccino efficace sarà stato assunto da una moltitudine sufficiente di persone o avremo toccato l'immunità di gregge.

Accettabile incoraggiare chi può, per reddito o per tipo di occupazione, a stare in casa; ma è tragicamente sbagliato costringere la aziende a chiudere. Ne deriveranno devastanti conseguenze economiche, compresa la possibilità personale di comprarsi la medicine. A meno che le peggiori fantasie, come quella di un tentativo di costruire una società mondiale retta e alimentata da un gruppo di oligarchi per un neo comunismo universale, siano verosimili.

Nei 2 Stati citati arriverà una disoccupazione di massa. La gente, come gli animali spaventati, continua però a restare, eleggendoli dove è ancora possibile, con quei politici che fanno lockdown e addormentano iniziativa e reattività dei cittadini tramite misure di assistenza, il cui costo gli sarà  prima o poi addossato. 

L'onda blu del voto presidenziale USA lo ha appena confermato.

La colpa è collettiva. Lo Stato di Washington ha alleggerito in settembre le limitazioni e conseguentemente le entrate fiscali sono cresciute, grazie alla ripresa temporanea del mercato, permettendo di ridurre di metà il deficit pubblico causato dalla pandemia; però andrà tutto in fumo, se gli shutdown saranno ripristinati. Nello stesso mese la manovra di bilancio del Michigan  ha tagliato spese e previsto aiuti federali, che con un nuovo lockdown saranno riviste in peggio.

Anche perché le promesse di restituire la normalità in dicembre già vengono calpestate, come avvenne la volta precedente: blocchi senza fine, disoccupazione record, scuole online etc.

In Michigan la Corte Suprema ha condannato le chiusure, che il Governatore aggira attraverso il 'dipartimento della salute e dei servizi alla persona'.

Gli elettori nelle aree rurali, molto meno infettate, temono più disoccupazione, povertà, solitudine, tedio, depressione. Le imprese che ci lavorano tuttavia devono fermarsi, pena la pesante sanzione pubblica. Morire lentamente con l'elettorato urbano nelle braccia di una Stato bambinaia?

Eppure basterebbe applicare regole di prevenzione per i 'vulnerabili' e lasciare agli altri la propria vita quotidiana e libera..

Lo scopo di seminare terrore è stato raggiunto, le popolazioni si sono affidate ai progressisti, progenie di un collettivismo anonimo sviluppatosi nel secolo scorso, che finiranno per distruggere la libertà.        (eu.detroitnews.com /2020/ 11/ 20)

Nanny State? Lo impedirà lo spirito della nostra storia millenaria di società concorrenziali, conflittuali, propositive, cioè libere, specialmente occidentali.
