Tom of Finland Foundation protects erotic art, with reference to gay culture. In October it was blacked out for a few hours by Instagram. Its founder Touko Laakonen fought in the Finnish army against the Soviets in the 2nd World War. The military uniforms influenced his design, with 'gay leather' protagonist in the London undergrounds of the 50s and 60s. He considered his homosexuality a problem. In reaction he built happy, proud gays, square jaws, muscular, big genitals. He hatched policemen, motorcyclists, homosexual soldiers.

Dal motociclista con giubbotto in pelle nera molti gay hanno inventato dagli anni '60 in poi una propria identità, contrapposta alla drag queen femminilizzata. A loro si è ispirata la moderna pornografia omosex. Il David di Michelangelo a San Francisco è diventato icona del binomio cuoio-sesso.
Ora, succede pure al mercato della pelle, il modello del gay in pelle decade, sia per la confusione di ruoli tra maschio e femmina sia per l'irrompere del 'metrosexual', più simile ad un bisessuale od un omosessuale che un etero sessuale, sia per la decadenza che tale materiale animale sta attraversando causa impronta ambientale e sensibilità animalista. Mia istantanea dal passato: un causidico, rimasto nel gruppo da me lasciato sperando di succedermi. Oggi beve. Sgridato, minacciato, nasconde la bottiglia. Ebbro e oggettivamente sgradevole, si mette figurativamente prono avanti i coglioni della locupletazione corruttiva, successivamente alla mia uscita montata. E' una vera e propria degenerazione di quella realtà, associativa e fieristica, che costruii in entusiastici decenni di impegno. Sono fuggito in tempo!
