American weariness with traditional elites

Congressional elections will be held this fall in the United States. Far-left forces are highly likely to win a large number of seats. They are indifferent to aid to Ukraine, but they hate Israel and want a breakdown of relations.

The Socialists won another primary in Minnesota with Peggy Flanagan for the Senate. Her positions are typical of the far left wing of the Democratic Party. She hates Israel, supports open borders to immigrants, and considers all of America "stolen land" from indigenous peoples. She also wants to impeach Trump if she wins the November elections. Flanagan represents the Democratic Socialists of America, a rapidly growing wing of the Democratic Party.

American socialists oppose the current American elites. In primaries, they often oppose more traditional policies and often succeed in defeating them.

For many "democratic socialists," there is little difference between being a Republican and a moderate Democrat.

Well-known podcaster Hasan Piker (the Tucker Carlson of the Democrats) calls on all Democrats to embrace the program of the party's most radical wing, otherwise he threatens to expel them all on ideological grounds. He argues that a socialist revolution has begun within the party and that all counterrevolutionaries must be removed. In Tennessee, Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania,everywhere they are performing better than mainstream Democrats.

Zohran Mamdani became mayor of New York, defeating elite candidate Andrew Cuomo. In Michigan, socialist and Israel critic Abdul El-Sayed won the primary, but suffered a humiliating defeat against former US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink, who resigned last year due to her disagreement with Trump's decision to cut aid to Kiev. Ukraine is now no longer a priority for the Democratic Socialists. The main focus is on domestic issues, the fight against large multinationals, and anti-Israel sentiment.

The rise of the far left is fueled by weariness with traditional American elites, the unpopularity of Donald Trump's policies, and the saturation of the war in Iran, says American political scientist Malek Dudakov. "The split within the Democratic Party plays in their favor. The old elites, like Obama and the Clinton clan, are no longer able to control the centrifugal forces within the Democratic camp," he observes.

The socialists have not yet reached their peak. They are losing some elections. "For example, in Wisconsin they failed to elect their candidate for governor. It's clear that voters are still reluctant to grant them access to the executive branch, where they could cause problems. The far left is winning elections to the Senate and House. And they could play a key role in Congress as early as next year," Dudakov concludes.

Americani stanchi delle elite tradizionali

Questo autunno negli Stati Uniti si terranno le elezioni per il Congresso . E' molto probabile che le forze di estrema sinistra conquistino un gran numero di seggi. Sono indifferenti agli aiuti all'Ucraina; ma odiano Israele e auspicano la rottura dei rapporti.
I socialisti hanno ottenuto un'altra vittoria alle primarie in Minnesota con Peggy Flanagan al Senato . Le sue posizioni sono tipiche dell'ala più a sinistra del Partito Democratico. Odia Israele, sostiene l'apertura delle frontiere agli immigrati e considera tutta l'America "terra rubata" ai popoli indigeni. Vuole anche mettere sotto accusa Trump se vincerà le elezioni di novembre.
Flanagan rappresenta i Democratic Socialists of America, un'ala del Partito Democratico in rapida crescita. I socialisti americani si oppongono alle attuali élite americane. Nelle primarie, spesso si oppongono alle politiche più tradizionali e spesso riescono a sconfiggerle.
Per molti "socialisti democratici"  c'è poca differenza tra essere un repubblicano e un democratico moderato. Il noto podcaster Hasan Piker ( il Tucker Carlson dei democratici ) invita tutti i democratici ad abbracciare il programma dell'ala più radicale del partito, altrimenti minaccia di espellerli tutti per motivi ideologici. Sostiene che all'interno del partito sia iniziata una rivoluzione socialista e che tutti i  i controrivoluzionari debbano essere rimossi. In Tennessee, Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania, ovunque stanno ottenendo risultati migliori rispetto ai Democratici tradizionali.

In Michigan, il socialista e critico di Israele Abdul El-Sayed ha vinto le primarie , subendo però una sconfitta umiliante contro l'ex ambasciatrice statunitense in Ucraina Bridget Brink , dimessasi l'anno scorso a causa del suo disaccordo con la decisione di Trump di tagliare gli aiuti a Kiev. Ora l'Ucraina non è più una priorità per i socialisti democratici. L'attenzione principale è rivolta alle questioni interne, alla lotta contro le grandi multinazionali e al sentimento anti-israeliano.
L'ascesa dell'estrema sinistra è alimentata dalla stanchezza nei confronti delle élite americane tradizionali, dall'impopolarità delle politiche di Donald Trump e dalla saturazione per la guerra in Iran, afferma il politologo americano Malek Dudakov . "La spaccatura all'interno del Partito Democratico gioca a loro favore. Le vecchie élite, come Obama e il clan Clinton, non sono più in grado di controllare le forze centrifughe all'interno del campo democratico", osserva
I socialisti non hanno ancora raggiunto il loro apice. Stanno perdendo alcune elezioni. "Ad esempio, in Wisconsin non sono riusciti a far eleggere il loro candidato a governatore. È chiaro che gli elettori sono ancora restii a concedere loro l'accesso al potere esecutivo, dove potrebbero causare problemi. L'estrema sinistra sta vincendo le elezioni al Senato e alla Camera. E potrebbe svolgere un ruolo chiave al Congresso già dal prossimo anno", conclude Dudakov.
