We should view all mainstream news reporting about the United States with skepticism, knowing that the media, regardless of whether they define themselves as left-wing or right-wing, deeply detests Donald Trump.
Here are the hysterical accusations against the Trump administration regarding the activities of ICE and other US immigration and border enforcement agencies. Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti, two "protesters" killed in clashes with ICE agents, recall George Floyd during the Black Lives Matter riots: they became instant martyrs and proof that ICE is "out of control," that Donald Trump is a would-be dictator abandoning the norms of civil democracy.
ICE is not an agency created by Donald Trump. It was created in 2003, when George W. Bush was president, in the wake of 9/11, with the aim of preventing a recurrence by enforcing the deportation of dangerous foreigners entering illegally. Its mandate has always extended beyond the fight against terrorism to include illegal immigrants committing any type of crime in the United States, particularly useful and necessary against those who commit the worst crimes: drug trafficking, human trafficking, slavery, rape, murder, child abuse, and organized crime. For 22 years, it has done exactly what it is doing today, without anyone calling it a fascist organization or an instrument of oppression.
Approximately 4,000 innocent US citizens are killed every year by illegal immigrants.
One of them was Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student at Augusta University. On February 22, 2024, she was attacked by Jose Antonio Ibarra, an illegal immigrant who had already committed a series of crimes. He attempted to rape her and then killed her with rocks. If Ibarra had been removed before the crime, Laken Riley would still be alive. Border and immigration laws and their enforcement are not fascism. They are the government doing what is the duty of a responsible government: protecting innocent citizens like Laken Riley from attempted rape, murder, or similar violent crimes. Regular law enforcement should do the same, but border control should prevent such crimes from being committed by people who shouldn't even be in the country.
The US President responsible for the most deportations in US history is not Donald Trump, but Bill Clinton. He expelled 12.3 million people in his two terms, many of them right at the border. George W. Bush oversaw 10.3 million deportations. Barack Obama oversaw a total of 3.1 million deportations, with 407,000 in his peak year, 2012. Even Joe Biden, who fully reopened the border, oversaw up to 4.7 million deportations.
Enforcing border and immigration laws is so necessary and sensible, and so obviously helpful to the protection of innocent citizens, that even the Democrats, i.e., the left, did it.

La verità sull'ICE
Dovremmo considerare tutti i resoconti giornalistici mainstream sugli Stati Uniti con scetticismo, consapevoli che i media ,indipendentemente dal fatto che si definiscano di sinistra o di destra, detestano profondamente Donald Trump.
Ecco le isteriche accuse contro l'amministrazione Trump sulle attività dell'ICE e di altre agenzie statunitensi per l'immigrazione e le frontiere. Renee Nicole Good e Alex Pretti, due "manifestanti" uccisi in scontri con agenti dell'ICE richiamano George Floyd durante le rivolte del movimento Black Lives Matter: sono diventati martiri istantanei e la prova che l'ICE è "fuori controllo", che Donald Trump sia un presunto, aspirante dittatore che sta abbandonando le norme della democrazia civile.
ICE non è un organismo creato da Donald Trump. E' stato creato nel 2003, quando George W. Bush era presidente, sulla scia dell'11 settembre, con l'obiettivo di prevenire il ripetersi, imponendo l'espulsione di individui stranieri pericolosi che entrano illegalmente. Il suo mandato si è sempre esteso oltre la lotta al terrorismo, includendo gli immigrati clandestini che commettono qualsiasi tipo di reato negli Stati Uniti, particolarmente utile e necessario contro quelli che commettono i crimini peggiori: traffico di droga, tratta di esseri umani, schiavitù, stupro, omicidio, abuso sui minori, criminalità organizzata. Per 22 anni ha fatto esattamente quello che sta facendo oggi, senza che nessuno lo abbia definito un'organizzazione fascista o uno strumento di oppressione.
Una di loro era Laken Riley, una studentessa di infermieristica di 22 anni all'Università di Augusta. Il 22 febbraio 2024, fu aggredita da Jose Antonio Ibarra, un immigrato clandestino che aveva già commesso una serie di crimini. Tentò di violentarla e poi la uccise a colpi di pietra. Se Ibarra fosse stato allontanato prima del crimine, Laken Riley sarebbe ancora viva.
Le leggi sulle frontiere e sull'immigrazione e la loro applicazione non sono fascismo. Sono il governo che fa ciò che fa ciò che è dovere di un governo responsabile, ovvero proteggere cittadini innocenti come Laken Riley da tentati stupri, omicidi o crimini violenti simili. Anche le forze dell'ordine ordinarie dovrebbero fare lo stesso, ma il controllo delle frontiere dovrebbe impedire che tali crimini vengano commessi da persone che non dovrebbero nemmeno trovarsi nel Paese.
Il Presidente degli Stati Uniti responsabile del maggior numero di espulsioni nella storia degli Stati Uniti non è Donald Trump, ma Bill Clinton. Ha espulso 12,3 milioni di persone nei suoi due mandati, molte delle quali proprio al confine. George W. Bush ha supervisionato 10,3 milioni di espulsioni. Barack Obama ha supervisionato un totale di 3,1 milioni di espulsioni, con 407.000 nel suo anno di punta, il 2012. Persino Joe Biden, che ha completamente riaperto il confine, ha supervisionato fino a 4,7 milioni di espulsioni.
Far rispettare le leggi sulle frontiere e sull'immigrazione è così necessario e sensato, e così palesemente utile alla protezione di cittadini innocenti, che persino i Democratici, cioè la sinistra, lo facevano.
