Who or what was able to induce Trump and the Republicans in both houses of Congress to spout lame excuses and blatant deceptions to justify their efforts to hide information from the public, most notably information about Epstein's client list?
The public, and not just the American public, increasingly feels that, no matter what they vote for, political elites generally ignore them. It seems there is a group of people or organizations that enjoy the undivided attention and obedience of political leaders.
We had to wait more than six decades before Washington finally provided proof that the "lone gunman" who killed President John F. Kennedy, Lee Harvey Oswald, was a CIA agent.
Why don't we still know all the details of the September 11, 2001, attack? It's been 25 years, and many still feel like they've been duped and lied to.
And what about the cold-blooded murder of Seth Rich, a 27-year-old Democratic National Committee employee, in July 2016? Almost nothing has been heard from the authorities.
Even in foreign policy, we are largely kept in the dark.
The United States has been and is engaged in failed wars around the world. Since World War II, the last war declared by the US Congress, millions of people have been massacred and maimed in wars that have killed over 100,000 Americans. With each foreign policy failure, we are increasingly aware that we have been deceived.
How many of the intelligence agencies, along with those of other "friendly" countries, have laid and continue to lay the groundwork to drag us into these failed wars?
It is possible that much of the global war on terror is a pretext to fight wars against people the Americans and/or "their friends" have trained and financed.
Nine years after the 2016 election, we realize that the entire "Russia collusion" story was a hoax perpetrated against voters by their own government.
The United States spent years supporting anti-government fighters in Syria, and late last year that government finally collapsed. Guess what? The new leader is an Al Qaeda fighter, and the US is supporting him. Hasn't trillions of dollars been spent "fighting Al Qaeda"?
Trump has campaigned explicitly to stop endless wars; but he has failed to stop the barbaric genocide in Gaza or the war in Ukraine. He has restarted President Joe Biden's war in Yemen and appears to be preparing to unleash a war with Venezuela.
There are forces driving the war agenda that are more powerful than voters and even their presidents. Participants in Epstein's activities are engaged in a massive, mafia-style blackmail operation, wielding disproportionate power over political leaders.
In effect, national sovereignty has been suppressed.

Alcuni ci hanno tolto la sovranità nazionale
Chi o cosa è stato in grado di indurre Trump e i repubblicani in entrambe le Camere del Congresso a blaterare scuse sciocche e palesi inganni per giustificare i loro sforzi di nascondere le informazioni al pubblico, ultime quelle sulla lista dei clienti di Epstein?
L'opinione pubblica, non solo americana, ha sempre più la sensazione che, indipendentemente da ciò per cui vota, le élite politiche generalmente la ignorino. Sembra che ci sia un gruppo di persone o organizzazioni che gode della completa attenzione e obbedienza dei leader politici.
Abbiamo dovuto aspettare più di sei decenni prima che Washington fornisse finalmente la prova che il "pistolero solitario" che uccise il presidente John F. Kennedy, Lee Harvey Oswald, fosse stato un agente della CIA.
Perché non conosciamo ancora tutti i dettagli dell'attacco dell'11 settembre 2001? Sono passati 25 anni e molti hanno la sensazione di essere stati ingannati e di essere vittime di bugie.
E che dire dell'omicidio a sangue freddo di Seth Rich, un dipendente ventisettenne del Comitato Nazionale Democratico, avvenuto nel luglio 2016? Da parte delle autorità non si è sentito quasi nulla.
Anche in politica estera, siamo tenuti in gran parte all'oscuro.
Gli USA sono stati e sono impegnati in guerre fallite in tutto il mondo. Dalla Seconda Guerra Mondiale, l'ultima guerra dichiarata dal Congresso americano, sono stati massacrati e mutilati milioni di persone in guerre che hanno ucciso oltre 100.000 americani. Con ogni fallimento in politica estera, siamo sempre più consapevoli di essere stati ingannati.
Quanti dei servizi segreti, insieme a quelli di altri Paesi "amici", hanno gettato e continuano a gettare le basi per trascinarci in queste guerre fallite?
È possibile che gran parte della guerra globale al terrorismo sia un pretesto per combattere guerre contro persone che gli americani e/o "i loro amici" hanno addestrato e finanziato.
Nove anni dopo le elezioni del 2016, ci rendiamo conto che l'intera storia della "collusione con la Russia" era una bufala perpetrata contro gli elettori dal loro stesso governo.
Gli Stati Uniti hanno trascorso anni a sostenere i combattenti antigovernativi in Siria, e alla fine dell'anno scorso quel governo è finalmente crollato. Indovinate un po'? Il nuovo leader è un combattente di Al Qaeda e gli USA lo sostengono. Non si sono forse spesi migliaia di miliardi di dollari per "combattere Al Qaeda"?
Trump ha condotto una campagna elettorale esplicita per fermare le guerre senza fine; ma non è riuscito a fermare il barbaro genocidio a Gaza o la guerra in Ucraina. Ha riavviato la guerra del presidente Joe Biden in Yemen e sembra prepararsi a scatenare una guerra con il Venezuela.
Ci sono forze che guidano l'agenda bellica più potenti degli elettori e persino dei loro presidenti.
I partecipanti alle attività di Epstein partecipano ad una massiccia operazione di ricatto di stampo mafioso, che esercita un potere smisurato sui leader politici.
Di fatto, la sovranità nazionale è stata soppressa.
